The Council of Environment of the Town Hall of Benalmadena is preparing an informative campaign about the importance of recycling. There will be informative tables of notices installed in different areas of the locality, and the Delegation of Environment will inform the locals about regulations of rubbish collection.
The specialists will inform the inhabitants of Benalmadena about the advantages of recycling paper and cardboard. Furthermore, they will make inquiries as well as distribute informative leaflets. “ The aim of this campaign is to inform the locals about the regulations of rubbish collection, and at the some time strengthen the vigilance from the responsible organizations,” said the Councillor of Environment Inmaculada Hernández. “The Delegation of Environment wants to educate the citizens of Benalmadena in environmental matters in order to avoid fines. We want to have a municipality with a responsible processing of urban solid wastes,” added the Councillor The Council of Environment wants to make the inhabitants aware of the importance of separation and placement of paper, cardboard and lightweight packets in a corresponding container, in order to subsequently recycle them. Inmaculada Hernandez pointed out that, “it is very important to make the locals get used to separating the rubbish in their houses. We all have to change our habits and get used to not mixing all the rubbish in the same bag.”
